SENIORS AND SENIOR PARENTS! URGENT! WE NEED YOUR HELP!
One thing that was not discussed in our meeting was our senior slideshow. IMMEDIATELY ASAP!--- WE NEED PICTURES for our senior slideshow that plays in the commons during senior reception. We will need from you- one baby picture and three other pictures of your choice. Please email these to [email protected] just as fast as you can. If you are unable to email them, then please call the school at extension 232 and arrange how you can get them to Mr. Lewis, or they may bring them in and we will immediately scan them in and hand them back to the student then. Email is the easiest method and has the least risk of losing pictures.
ALSO, as was posted in our prior meeting notes on here, we need an estimate of how many family flowers are needed BY TOMORROW, and as of right now, I have only had 2 of the 19 seniors give me that estimate. You may also send that estimate to the email above or have them come tell it to Mr. Lewis or Mr. Goyne by tomorrow.
Please help in any way you can on these very urgent matters! Thank you!

Congratulations to the public speakers who participated in the Alex Local Speech Contest last night! Each speaker presented their speech to two panels of judges and then answered questions regarding their speech topic. These students have put in an incredible amount of work, memorizing, studying, and practicing these speeches. We are super proud of them!
Pre-K enrollment April 12
Juniors, today is the ACT. Bring your charged chromebooks (no personal computers), calculators, and pencil. The test will begin at 8 am. Good luck to you all.
Have you ordered a 2022-2023 APS Yearbook yet? Orders are due April 21st and yearbooks are $45 each. Grab an order form from the Elem. or HS office.
USAO junior day is Thursday April 6th. Register at usao.edu/juniorday
The Alex Public Schools Local Scholarship is due today. Seniors, turn it in to Mrs. Byrne by 3:00.
Seniors and Senior Parents:
Here is a rundown of reminders from our graduation meeting last week.
1. Caps and gowns are in. We prefer to hold on to them until rehearsal, but if they are needed for pictures, your student may sign them out through Mr. Lewis. Please make sure your Jostens balances are paid in full.
2. Flower orders are due VERY soon. We need a rough estimate of how many flowers you will need by next Wed, April 12. The school will pay for some flowers, but this can only be determined once we have this estimate. Please send these numbers to Mr. Lewis by email or have your student come see Mr. Lewis and give the estimate verbally. The final order will be placed the week after the 12th. Flowers will be orange roses.
3. Please make sure you have announcements going out on your own to friends and family.
4. NEW ANNOUNCEMENT that was not in the meeting: You will receive ten chairs on the field for graduation ceremonies. Anything above ten will be seated in the stands. Please discuss with family who will fill your ten allotted chairs on the field.
5. Be working on your senior boards that will be set up in the commons before graduation.
6. Graduation rehearsal will be on Thurs. May 4th. Senior breakfast will be at 9 am that morning, then rehearsal immediately following. Students will then be released until graduation night arrival time TBA later.
7. Graduation will be Friday, May 5th at 8 pm on the football field.
