HS softball plays today at 4:45 at the Chickasha complex

Our 4-H officers shared some of their favorite projects at the meeting this week. They did such a great job demonstrating some of the many opportunities 4-H has to offer! Great job!

Students from Rush Springs, Ninnekah, Verden, & Chickasha joined APS students Monday evening for the Dist Livestock Show. APS Students won 4 Grand & 6 Reserve Grand Champions, with numerous Showmanship Awards. Thank you to the supporters the Cake Auction brought in over $8,500.

Thank you to Under Sherriff Boggess and APS Resource Officer Rhyne for assisting us with our Security Drill today. We are always looking for ways to make our campus and students safer!

HS softball won play again at 6:30

The University of Central Ok is bringing a representative to speak to our seniors on Sept. 7th at noon in the library. Seniors are highly encouraged to attend.

Good morning! We want to let the community know we are having a security drill this morning. The Grady Co Sheriff's office is assisting with this so if you see some extra patrol cars in the area just know this is just a drill. We are excited to partner with the Grady County Sheriff's office.

Alex 4-H is having our first meeting of the year tomorrow at 3:45pm in HS room 307. We invite students to come see what all 4-H has to offer! Please remember, K-1st-grade students need a chaperone. Hope to see you there!

Reminder: Today's softball games at Ninnekah will start at 2:30 with the JH playing first.

Concurrent students start college classes tomorrow. Make sure and check your Redlands or OCCC emails for important information and log in to portals for coursework.

SOFTBALL SCHEDULE CHANGE!!! Monday, 8/15, The Alex vs. Ninnekah Softball games will now start at 2:30 pm at Ninnekah with JH followed by HS.

Alex 4-H is excited about the new year! We'd love to share some of the many opportunities 4-H has to offer. Our first meeting is next Wednesday! Children 12th - Kindergarten are welcome, but K-1st will need a parent chaperone. Hope to see you there!

CHECKING ELEMENTARY STUDENTS OUT OF SCHOOL EARLY AND AFTER SCHOOL PROCEDURES Dear Parents and Guardians, Parents/guardians who must check their student out of school before the end of the school day are required to sign the student out at the school office. The need for strict security for children requires that parents/guardians not remove the child from school before regular dismissal time without notifying the office. Please park in the lot just west of the elementary school to enter the building to check students out. The elementary school car line will begin at approximately 3:15 p.m. each school day. For student safety, when the car line begins, students will not be allowed to walk across the street until all cars are through the line. Use of the car line is highly encouraged for car riders. When the car line is complete, students who walk home and students whose parents have walked up to the school to pick them up will be released. The buses will pick elementary students up at approximately 3:35 p.m. to take them home. After school, students will be allowed to go only to those locations authorized by their parent/guardian unless the parent/guardian sends a note to school or calls the office specifying otherwise. Parents of Students in PK-5th Grades: Morning Car Line will begin at 7:45 a.m. which is when our doors will open for students to go to their classrooms. All elementary students are to be dropped off at the elementary entrance. Afternoon Car Line will begin at 3:15 p.m. If you are picking your student up at school please utilize the car line. Students who walk home will only be permitted to leave when the car line is complete. Bus riders will leave around 3:35 p.m. We are so excited we get to see all our students tomorrow and are looking forward to a fantastic year!!!
