5th Grade Pumpkin Book Characters
This week PreK had some fun graphing Cheeto bones!
Tomorrow (10/22/22) 5th and 6th grade(boys&girls) basketball will leave for Ampo at 8:00am from our gym. We should arrive back around 12:30.
7th & 8th grades will leave at 10:40am from the gym. We should arrive back around 5:00
We have Fun Fridays in Kindergarten. The students enjoyed creating their own pumpkin and watching spookley.
The Alex Elementary Magical Holidays/Otis Spunkmeyer sale started this week! If you would like the chance to stock up on this amazing cookie dough or other great products, just get with a PK-5th Grade Alex student to order online or in person, or call the elementary office! Orders are due November 2, 2022.

Monday-10/24 - TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS
Students and staff will wear their favorite sports team jersey in their stand against alcohol and drugs.
Tuesday-10/25 - SOCK-IT-TO-DRUGS
Students and staff will wear their craziest and most colorful socks in their stand against alcohol and drugs.
Wednesday-10/26 - RED OUT
Students and staff will wear red to show solidarity in their stand against alcohol and drugs.
Thursday-10/27 - HATS OFF TO BEING DRUG FREE
Students and staff will wear their favorite or craziest hat in their stand against alcohol and drugs.
Friday-10/28 - SCARE AWAY DRUGS
Students and staff will wear their Halloween costumes for the day’s activities.
Homecoming parade and court information:
The parade will be at 2:30 on Friday Oct. 21st. If you have a float or entry that is not one of the class entries, please be sure Diana Boatwright knows ASAP. You can call her at 405-785-2264.
Entries will begin lining up at the softball field at 2:00 on Friday. The parade will start at the softball field and travel down main street to the bank.
Homecoming Court will be presented at half time of the high school game Friday evening.

ACT is tomorrow. Students, who signed up, get some rest and be ready to test by 8:00 am in Mr. Heldermon’s room. Eat breakfast before school.

LETTER JACKETS
Athlon II is scheduled to deliver Letter Jackets tomorrow afternoon. Please bring payment for the balance.
The ACT is Thursday, October 20th, for the students (10th-12th) who signed up. Students will be able to eat breakfast starting at 7:45, and need to be in the AG room by 8:00 with a charged chromebook (no personal computers) and a calculator. Students, remember to do the non-test portion of the test prior to test day. Bring $39 tomorrow.
5th & 6th basketball tomorrow @ Middleberg:
We will leave from the gym at 3:00. Students can pick up their uniforms and we will be traveling by bus. Games begin at 4:00.

It is homecoming week! We will have a gathering to show some Longhorn Pride this Thursday evening at 6:30 pm.
All the town is welcome to come out! There will be a few things going on and hotdogs and drinks for people!

Alex Public School is planning a Veteran's Day celebration on Friday, November 11, at 10:30 a.m. We would like to honor the veteran(s) that are special to you with a program and a video. Please send us your photo(s) if you want your honoree(s) to be included in the video. We need you to include their Name, Branch of Service, Dates of their service, and the relationship to the Alex Student. We ask that you turn in the pictures by Monday, October 24th to the elementary office or the high school office. You may also email the information to Mrs. McCauley at [email protected]. You may pick up your photo at the office after the program. Honoring our veterans is so important and we thank you for helping us in this effort.
