Mrs. Rhyne's Senior English class took a great field trip to the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum today. We started the day with a first person perspective discussion with Susan Winchester, former member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, from Chickasha. She shared the impact that losing her sister in the bombing has had on her and implored our students to keep the "Oklahoma Standard" alive. We then were able to experience the museum and were given a tour by a National Park Ranger through the outside memorial. We finished the day with lunch at The Collective and saw the restaurant started by AHS class of 2007 graduate Jessye Ramsey, Farfalle & Foccacia. It was a great day and our students definitely learned a lot!

This last weekend, the Student Council officers had the opportunity to go to the State Convention and listen to speakers talk about leadership, meet other STUCO members from all over the state, and gather ideas from others to bring back to our school! It was a great weekend!
