Red Ribbon Week starts next week! This is a uniform way for schools & communities nationwide to take a stand against drugs and drug use. The theme this year is Drug Free Looks Like Me! Attached is the dress up week! Let’s take a stand, Longhorns! Say No!
Join us tomorrow at the Halloween Carnival hosted by the Alex Beta Club! Elementary has a game (pop-it walk…think cake walk, where the prizes are pop-it’s! We also have a basket with so many goodies thanks to our local vendors! All proceeds benefit the elementary greenhouse!
Tuesday October 26th our 3rd & 4th grade basketball girls and boys will have an inner squad scrimmage. There will be 2 games. The girls will play at 4 and the boys will play immediately after that game. Games will be played at Alex High School. 5th & 6th grade don’t play.

If you are a JR or SR enrolled at Redlands for concurrent classes, you can enroll for spring classes starting October 25th. If you are a JR/SR interested in enrolling in concurrent classes, please see Mrs. Byrne. Current students need a recommendation form again before enrolling.

Several students were recognized for not having any zeros and no absences for the month of September. They were rewarded with ice cream from the Peacock Tea Room.
Numerous Alex 4-H members were recognized at the Grady County 4-H banquet last night. Several members received multiple individual awards and the club was recognized for raising the most money for the "Change for Change" campaign with over $1600. Congratulations Alex 4-H!!!
