Alex FFA members attended the 97th Oklahoma State FFA Convention in Tulsa, over the past 2 days. Convention attendees listened to motivational speakers, attended workshops, and spent time with other FFA members from all over the state of Oklahoma.
Congratulations to the 2023 Canadian Valley Tech Center graduates. We are proud of our Alex students. Also, a big congratulations to Baylan Byrd for receiving CVTC Student of the Year and receiving a $1000 scholarship.

Congratulations to the following students who competed at the state SKILLS USA competition with CVTC: Seniors Baylan Byrd, 1st in CNC programming (headed to Nationals) and 3rd in Job Interview, Jace Berry 2nd in quiz bowl, Carla Martinez 1st in Image Manipulation and sophomore Jason Brown, 1st in Job Readiness (welding). We are so proud of you all!

Congratulations Gracie Selzer! She placed in the Top 5 in the State in the Employability Skills at the State FFA contest! Gracie was selected as a finalist last week after submitting a resume and cover letter and then completed two rounds of professional interviews today. We are so proud of the hard work she has put in and being such a positive representation of Alex Public School!
THANK YOU to all of you that participated in the Alex 4-H coin war! All money collected will be donated to the OK Children's Hospital Foundation through our state 4-H Change for Change initiative.
The Alex FFA Livestock Judging Team completed today in the State FFA Judging Contest in Stillwater. Although this is the last contest for our senior members, we are so excited Codi Rodriguez will be continuing her Livestock Judging career at Murray State College in the fall!
