Alex will be hosting the district basketball tournament February 9th & 10th. February 9th boys & girls will play Paoli. Girls game will start at 6:00, boys will follow. February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Did you know that cavities are the most common chronic disease of childhood and that children who have poor oral health often miss more school and receive lower grades than children who don't?
Your PK-5th Grade children will be coming home with the flyer that is attached. You are welcome to use the QR code to help your kids learn more about healthy teeth.
This weekend Alex FFA hosted the second annual "The Option" Swine Jackpot. There was a great turnout of exhibitors from all over the state. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
10th or 11th graders who are considering taking concurrent classes next year will need to attend a mandatory meeting next Tuesday, Feb. 13th, at 6:30 pm. A parent/guardian will need to come also.
We will host a FAFSA night Tuesday, Feb. 13th, at 6:00 pm. Seniors all received an email on what to expect and what needs to be done before the meeting. There have been changes, but we will have someone to help walk you through the process. You will need 2022 tax information.

The Alex HS Academic Team will be recognized Friday Night, February 2nd, at half time of the girls game. This team is only the 3rd team in the history of Alex Schools Academic competitions to make it to the State Tournament. Help us celebrate their 4th place finish Friday night!
The Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women and our partner, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, would like to invite our students to attend an expert panel presentation about Human Trafficking in Oklahoma. Human trafficking is modern-day slavery that impacts every Oklahoman and the predators especially target children and young adults. USAO is pleased to host this important panel on their campus, which is scheduled for Feb. 9, 2024, from 10:00-11:15 am in the USAO Ballroom at 1727 W. Alabama in Chickasha.
Mrs. Byrne will be taking our group to attend this event. Permission slips are going home with young ladies 9th-12th and they are due back Tuesday, Feb. 6th. If we do not receive one back the students will not be able to attend.
