
The Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women and our partner, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, would like to invite our students to attend an expert panel presentation about Human Trafficking in Oklahoma. Human trafficking is modern-day slavery that impacts every Oklahoman and the predators especially target children and young adults. USAO is pleased to host this important panel on their campus, which is scheduled for Feb. 9, 2024, from 10:00-11:15 am in the USAO Ballroom at 1727 W. Alabama in Chickasha.
Mrs. Byrne will be taking our group to attend this event. Permission slips are going home with young ladies 9th-12th and they are due back Tuesday, Feb. 6th. If we do not receive one back the students will not be able to attend.

Here are your vocalists for this year's Circle the State With Song choir festival! They will work hard in rehearsals all day today and then perform a concert tonight at 6pm at the Norman Schools Performing Arts Center on the campus of Norman North HS. Good job, Longhorn Singers!


Alex Local Livestock Show, Trophy Auction and Fish Fry is tomorrow, Jan. 27th. Livestock Show starts at 9am at the Alex Show Barn. Fish Fry and Auction, @ 5pm in the High School Commons. Come out and support the Alex students who show livestock!

Due to the high number of requests we will be hosting one last sign up Friday 1/25/2024 from 5-7 before the high school basketball game. If you have signed up and not provided your birth certificate or paid dues or wish to sign up this will be the final opportunity to do so! Thursday, January 25th, we will be playing 7/8 grade basketball at Pioneer. Girls will start at 4:00, boys will follow. Two games only. Freshmen will not be playing.

All elementary 100th day of school activities will be moved to Wednesday. If you have extra supplies you would like to donate, those can be sent to Mrs. Sturgell.

Good evening APS families: Due to incoming inclement weather, Alex Public School will be closed Monday, January 22, 2024. School and Monday evenings' games are cancelled. We hope you all are able to stay safe and warm.


Alex 4-H will be "Passing the Bucket" today during half-time of the girls basketball game to raise money for the OK Children's Hospital Foundation through our Change for Change service project. We greatly appreciate all of the community support each year. Thank you! ~Alex 4-H
