Our mini senior conference was great. Our students had sessions on stresses after high school (mental health), housing/renting mortgage info, insurance, banking, and car maintenance. We are thankful for our Alex alumni who gave our seniors great information that they don't always know they need. Thank you KK's pantry and Mrs. Loggins for providing lunch to our seniors.

The HS Sports Banquet Scheduled for Monday May 6th has been moved to Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 pm due to concerns of inclement weather this evening.

The second day of the State Track Meet results: Jacob Compton placed 15th in pole vault, Dustin James placed 8th in pole vault, Girls 4x400 relay place 10th. Great season for the Alex Longhorn Track program. We continue to grow in numbers and success and we are proud of the work put in by the athletes. I also thank everyone that supported us and helped us this season. It means a lot of the kids and adults to see this. Go Longhorns.

Congratulations to the Alex HS students that competed in the Tournament of Champions Scholastic meet this week in Stillwater. We are so sproud of all of them!
Alex FFA members, Abby Pettijohn and Kolton Kohler, competed in the State FFA Agriscience Fair yesterday in Stillwater. Abby and Kolton put in hours of research, preparation and study, building and conducting a research project to present. After submitting a their research projects in April, they presented their findings yesterday to a panel of judges among other FFA members from all over the state. We are so proud of the work they put in and for representing our school!
The last week of school is coming on fast! Our final week lunch menu will be as follows: Monday (spaghetti & meatballs - salad bar); Tuesday (fish sandwich - salad bar); Wednesday (chicken patty - salad bar); Thursday (chicken nuggets - salad bar); Friday (cheese pizza - salad bar). Let's make this last week a great one!

Monday, May 6th, is our senior conference for the Class of 2024. Seniors are required to attend, and need to be in the gym by 8:00 AM to begin. There will be great information given and all of our presenters are Alex Alumni. Lunch will be provided by an Alex Alumni as well! At 12:15 we will enjoy a basketball game of Faculty vs. Seniors. It is going to be a great day to be a Longhorn!
All Elementary Library books are due 5/2/24 by noon. Please send any you may have at home with your student. If books not returned or lost. We will be sending out letters for amount owed.
