The FAFSA is now open for seniors and is a graduation requirement. Seniors have been emailed step-by-step instructions to complete the process. Attention all Alex Alumni basketball players: The junior class is hosting an alumni game on October 12th at 6:00 pm. Get your old basketball shoes out and help support the junior class. Refer to the flyer for details.

Students (10th-12th) registered for the PSAT (October 7) and/or the ACT (October 14) must submit their payment by Friday, October 3. Failure to pay by this deadline will result in not being registered for the test. For questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Byrne.

Congratulations to Allie Hooper, Evie Wolf, Pyper Bogle, and Rebel Higdon for making the Southern Plains All-Conference team. Good job ladies! The game is at Rush Springs on October 6th at 6 p.m.

Today begins the AHS mini cheer camp. Students participating will report to Ms. Wallace’s room at 3:30 and will be ready to be picked up at 5:00 in the elementary. Practices are 9/30, 10/1 and 10/2. If you have any questions please reach out to Ms. Wallace!

Come join us for a fun weekend of basketball! 3GG, Awards for Champions and Runner-Up, All-Tournament Team and MVP for each division. We would love to have some local teams but welcome anyone!

Did you know that you can check your child's grades from the same site as you enrolled them? By clicking on the guardian portal instead of student records you can access your child's grades and attendance. Your username and password are the same as you used to enroll your child. If you need help resetting your password email the enrollment address at [email protected]. You can access the site at https://oked.sylogist.com/Alex/ or by going to the district webpage at alex.k12.ok.us, clicking on menu and scrolling down to the student gradebook tab.

Reminder: Friday, September 26th is a scheduled virtual day. Students will have work sent home with them Thursday or can find their assignments on their google classrooms.

When Personal Electronic Devices are removed, students become creative and develop interactive personal skills.

Today our Alex music and GT students got to experience the Omanye Music Group from Ghana live at USAO. The students really enjoyed it, and a few even joined in to dance with the group! It was a great day to be a Longhorn!

Music and GT parents, please remember that we will be taking our trip to USAO tomorrow, Tuesday Sept. 23 from 12:30 to 2:30 to watch the Omanye music group from Ghana. Your child does not need money or anything else. They will eat lunch before going and then load the bus at 12:25.
