Ryder Drennan competed in the Chickasha Region Greenhand Quiz Contest today in El Reno. Ryder placed second and qualified for the State Greenhand Quiz Contest. The contest will be held next Tuesday in Stillwater. Congratulations!

Absent on Picture Day? New to our school?

Make-up pictures are tomorrow! Our amazing photographer will be set up and ready at 9:00 am tomorrow morning, starting with the Elementary and moving up.

Don't forget, this Thursday, October 16th is an early release day. Elementary car line can begin at 2:10. MS/HS will be dismissed at 2:20, buses will leave the HS at 2:25 to load at the elementary. Have a safe & fun Fall Break! We will see everyone back on Wednesday, the 22nd.

Reminder: The JH Football Game is on Tuesday (Oct. 14) at Geary, kickoff 6:30 pm. Go Longhorns!

The 5/6 grade games for Monday October 13th have been postponed to a later date. We will adjust the events page when we have a new date.

Concurrent Enrollment Parent Meeting

To align with parent-teacher conferences, we will be holding a mandatory parent meeting for families of current concurrent students (those currently taking college classes) who did not attend the session held in the spring.

If you are the parent or guardian of a junior or senior and have never attended a concurrent enrollment meeting, you are required to attend this one on Wednesday October, 15th at 6:00 PM.

We will have parent teacher conferences next Monday the 13th from 3:30-6:30 and Wednesday the 15th from 3:30-6:30. Elementary will schedule with parents and MS/HS will either have reached out for times or be available during those evenings.

Red Ribbon Week & “Trick the Halls” at Alex Schools! October 27th - 31st the Longhorns are celebrating healthy choices, school spirit, and Halloween fun! Each day brings a new dress-up theme and a chance to show your Longhorn pride while pledging to stay drug-free. Dress-Up Days: Monday: Pajamas! Tuesday: Crazy fit, hair, socks, etc. Wednesday: White Lies T-shirts! Thursday: Wear Red Friday: Halloween Costumes! Friday afternoon, we’ll wrap up the week with our annual Trick the Halls at 2:15 pm! Elementary students will make their way through the halls collecting treats from our middle and high school classrooms. Costumes, candy, and community — it’s one of our favorite Longhorn traditions!

Join us at our Halloween Carnival on October 25th from 6-8pm at the High School and then the STUCO Haunted Trail afterwards from 8-10pm at the Alex Park! 👻🎃

The October Alex 4-H club meeting is this Wednesday, Oct. 8th @ 3:30pm. All students are welcome, PK - 1st grade students need to be accompanied by a parent or older sibling. HS room 307.

Tonight, the elementary cheerleaders will perform at halftime! Don’t miss your chance to see them and support our Alex Longhorn football team. Girls participating should meet Ms. Wallace near the elementary playground with 5 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter. The game begins at 7:00.
