Jan 10, 2022 COVID Update

January 10, 2022

Dear Parents & Guardians,

As an administrative team we want to do our best to keep you informed of your child’s exposure to Covid. We want to assure you that if your child has been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive, you will be contacted by phone. If you have not received a phone call, your child has not been within close contact of a positive case, as determined by the CDC and Oklahoma Department of Health. At this time, we have three positive Covid cases of staff members within the district.  If your child was or is in direct contact with any positive cases, you will be contacted by phone.

If your child is running fever, please keep them home until they are 24 hours fever free without the aid of fever reducing medication. If your child tests positive for COVID or is in close contact with anyone who tests positive, please let the school know so they can best advise you of quarantine requirements.

To protect yourself, remember masks are allowed if the student choses to wear one and it is good practice to wash your hands and maintain social distancing as often as possible.

We are doing our best to be as open as the law will allow and communicate with the community as changes occur. If your student is traced as having direct contact with an individual who has tested positive for Covid, a school employee will be reaching out to you by phone.  Currently, we are following CDC guidelines, protocols set by the State Department of Health and our school district, to decrease the spread. These individuals will not be returning until the quarantine period has been fulfilled.

At this time, school will continue on our regular schedule; we understand the concern for all involved as we move through this together. If your child is experiencing Covid related symptoms or running a fever, please keep them home until they can be tested and released to return to school. It is important to notify the school when you are keeping your child home due to concerns of exposure or other illness so their attendance can be noted correctly. We understand this is not the ideal situation for anyone and appreciate your help by staying in communication with the school when you keep your child home due to illness. If you have any questions, please contact one of the administrators listed below:
